Whether new to traveling or is out for a business trip, tourists are quite excited to visit a new country and fly business class. Then you can have a Mercedes Benz waiting for you to pick you up. You stay in a 5-star hotel, and dine the full course of a chosen restaurant, and so on.
However today, you can travel various Asian cities on a slightly tight budget. You just need to travel with restriction and lengthy guidelines to follow. To begin your tour, choose Taipei as your first stop for the business travel destination.
Searching for a Hotel
It’s a wise idea to do your homework before you board a plane for Taipei. It’s good to be prepared when you travel down to this city. However, there is no room for worries when communicating with its people as they are highly proficient in English. Just converse with them, and they can help find around this city.
Hotels to stay in this city can vary from the most expensive to those on a budget. You just need to check a customer website that directs you to magnificent hotels in the city. Perhaps the hotel you are staying can be near the MRT station. This will be a lot easier to provide you with transport to get to places near and within the city. You want things done smoothly and conveniently.
Working in a big prestigious company can have you booked in 5-star hotels like the Taipei Sheraton Hotel, Sherwood Hotel, the Grand Hyatt, Shangri-La Taipei, Taipei Formosa Hotel and more. This can have your dollars spent per night. Certainly, there are also those for small corporates. Their prices are average and will just fit your small budget.
Access and Transportation
It can’t be a good idea to have your hotel pick you up from the airport. This can cost you exuberant dollars than having the option to ride a taxi. If you aren’t in a hurry, why not try the shuttle bus which is 10% less than taxis. This can also take you to familiar places in and around Taipei. If this is your first time to travel and you aren’t familiar with the city, you can always ask the driver to drop you off to your desired destination.
Also, having booked a hotel near the MRT station can save you a lot of money for transportation fees. If you want to go places, you just need to step out of your hotel and head on to the MRT station. Just get a ticket from the subway counter and ensure you have specified your destination.
Personal or Business Dining
Surely dining or eating out is your next concern when traveling on a business trip. Here, you will be dining with your clients or business partners at a local restaurant to discuss and do business. Taipei offers many wonderful restaurants around the city. For instance, you may want to try the Shilin night market food. It’s also here that you see beautiful landmarks and museums that showcase the city’s culture and heritage.
Looking for a real adventure closer to home? Have you traveled to Miami yet?
No matter what you are interested in, Las Vegas can make your vacation or business event memorable. Whether you are alone, with family, or on a business trip, there’s always a wide variety of interesting choices to make you preoccupied. My last journey there for the WISPA conference gave me the undeniable conclusion that Las Vegas was the greatest city on earth for internet business. No matter if you may be a gourmand, show lover, shopaholic, sportsman, gamer or gambler; you are certain that there’s something in store for you here. So here’s what you can see and do to enjoy your work and stay in Vegas.
1) David Copperfield Magic Show is certainly one of the most enjoyable shows in Vegas. Here, you’ll see the illusions and tricks done by the master magician incredible and almost impossible to do.
2) The Vegas Eiffel Tower experience can be one of the most delightful things to do out here. It has been a witness to many marriage proposals since its installation in Vegas. The ideal time to go up to its observation platform at the fiftieth floor is at nighttime. Here you can enjoy the Las Vegas sight that the Strip is known for.
3) Bellagio Fountains unquestionably make the best of the free attractions that Las Vegas has. You just can’t afford to miss it! The fountains at the center of an artificial lake are in front of the Bellagio hotel. You’ll be amazed at how unforgettable show of dancing jets of water reach impressive heights with modern and classic musical tunes and colored lights in the background.
4) Cirque du Soleil provides an integral part of things to do in Vegas, especially when there are kids around. Even adults will be pleasantly reminded of their once youthfulness. Fundamentally, it is a chain of shows which vary from sensual to mysterious to funniness. You simply need to choose those which you are appealed to. Some of the presently renowned shows are Mystere, O, KA, Love and Zumanity.
5) Fremont Street at the heart of Las Vegas provides a rewarding experience that you got to see to believe it. You can venture into cold snacks such as hot dogs enclosed in chocolate and other curious assortments that are marvelously inexpensive. In the evenings, you’ll come to enjoy few of the highly reviewed LED illuminance and music designed on large overhead screens.
6) Treasure Island Pirate Show: This is actually among the best free shows of Las Vegas sights. The free show is performed at the Treasure Island Hotel which lasts for 18 minutes and is full of bigger than life swordfights, hot dancing, singing, explosions, and fireworks.
7) Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is among the seven worldwide sites in Vegas that contain an actual sized reproduction of celebrities, historical figures, sports stars, and musicians, making it an amazing sight to visit, especially when you want to do other things aside from visiting casinos.
As my the business end of my trip came to an end, I decided to take the trip outside the city to the Hoover Dam. After all, you can only talk about the “differences between IPv4 and Ipv6” for so long with my broker (nice guy but I am a hedonist first and a tech entrepreneur second!)
8) The Hoover Dam, not far from downtown Vegas, is one of the most fashionable day trips one can venture after getting tired of gambling and shopping. It is an amazing Las Vegas sight located on the Colorado River. Why not visit the power plant too to discover existing operations!

The Perfect Hotspot
Ft Lauderdale is located to the north, about an hour away from Miami. The place is a little more calm, quaint and more diverse than the hustle and bustle of a bigger city. You can find a lot of artists, beautiful beach houses, mile long beaches and A-list restaurants along their ocean-front community. This quaint little area is the perfect hotspot for a beautiful and relaxing vacation.
Relocating to Ft Lauderdale, Florida maybe one of the best decisions you make in your life. The area’s sunny and warm climate with little outbursts of rain, not to mention the beautiful sandy beaches, make the place sound even more desirable to live in. If you are planning to relocate to Ft Lauderdale, here’s the 411:
- Fort Lauderdale is best known for its beautiful oceans and rivers. The residents of this small town embrace their heritage very much and in fact, some of them actually live in their yachts. Fort Lauderdale is nicknamed “Venice of America” because of its 162 bridges and 500-mile-long waterways. Living here has its perks, like constant sailing and various water sports. The city also has bars along the water and water taxis which have given rise to Lauderdale’s most ideal form of entertainment for adults – the waterway bar crawl.
- The city has a wide array of entertaining places. Fort Lauderdale is both a beach-front city and hip metropolitan. The merges of these types of places create a unique but beautiful vibe for the city. Although finding the right place to live may take a while, the quirky city has numerous neighborhoods to choose from. It is important to explore and find the right place in order to find the perfect fit for you, as the rent in some places maybe quite expensive. The capital of Thailand, Bangkok is well-known for its vibrant nightlife, marble temples, amazing street food stalls and many other things. I love the whole Thai culture and this city offers plenty of options for exploring. You can go and be amazed by the ancient sites in the morning and purchase second-hand clothing from vintage shops in the afternoon. In the evening, a number of nightclubs that host crazy parties open up their doors and everything is ready for a spectacular party.
Khao San Road is a famous backpacker’s paradise full of market stalls, budget-friendly accommodation, massage parlors, and cool bars. The good news is that the entrance to a number of clubs in Khao San Road is free of charge. You can also check out the Dusit Zoo that houses over 1500 animals. There is an education center and a sightseeing train, as well as an amazing man-made lake where travelers can enjoy boat peddling. In case you are a fan of open green spaces, make sure to visit the Lumpini Park. It features an impressive artificial lake, large playground for kids, and shady paths which are perfect for long walks. If you wish to work out in the Lumpini Park, there is fantastic outdoor fitness center with yoga classes and similar activities.
Modern South East Asian City
The chances that you’ll miss seeing the Baiyoke Sky Tower are close to none, as this is the tallest building in all of Thailand. I personally like this place because of its observatory deck that offers spectacular views of the city and surrounding areas. If you are not on a tight budget, you can enjoy the city views from the Crystal Grill Restaurant or Bangkok Sky at the Baiyoke Sky Tower. Wat Phra Kaew is one of those places that you just need to visit while in Bangkok. It’s the most important temple in the country and houses the mighty Emerald Buddha which is totally worshiped by the locals. I mean, the King of the country finds time to change the robe of the Emerald Buddha three times a year. It is advised to dress appropriately and show respect to the sacred Thai temple, meaning no shorts, flip-flops, and sleeveless shirts, please.
Food Lovers Paradise
Do you like Thai food? I know that I do and Bangkok is home to thousands of cool eateries where you can eat yourself stupid and still come back for more. I like going to Banglamphu (Old Town) because there you can get some forgotten dishes that you probably won’t find anywhere else in the city. I am talking about the delicious tom yum talay or gang kiew waan gai. The best street vendors can be found in the upscale neighborhood of Sukhumvit. Guaythiew pik gai (soup noodle dish) is the signature meal here and the most famous vendor in the city Guaythiew Pik Gai Sainampung has his stall right here in Sukhumvit.
Cool City In The US
Los Angeles is definitely one of the coolest cities in the US. Famous for its entertainment industry and great all-year-round climate, LA is all about glamor and diversity. The growing culinary scene is awesome and there are numerous museums, art galleries, parks, and shopping malls worth visiting. What I truly love about LA is the fact that public transportation is well-organized and you can get from one place to the other in no time. I always like to rent a bike and explore the cities top tourist attractions. This way I get to save a few bikes and riding a bike is always super fun.
If you are in the city for the first time, make sure to check out some of the most popular landmarks and attractions. Head out to the famous Getty Center that houses an amazing collection of drawings, sculpture, paintings, decorative arts, and 20th-century photography. For panoramic views of the city, go to the Griffith Observatory and Park. It is famous for its Zeiss telescope and you will get a chance to see different planets and the moon. No visit to Los Angeles is complete without exploring the greatest working movie studio and a theme park in the world, Universal Studios Hollywood. Guided tours of the Paramount Pictures and Warner Bros studios are available. I really liked that you can check out the sets from cool shows and movies including the amazing hit from the 80’s “Back to the Future”.
City of Fame
Dedicated to some of the most popular Hollywood stars, the Walk of Fame is also one of the must-see attractions in LA. The tradition started back in the 60’s and today there are over 2,500 stars including actors, musicians, producers, directors, and others on the Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. If you are into art, don’t forget to visit the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. It is the largest art museum on the West Coast and is home to more than 12,000 pieces of Islamic, Asian, and Latin American Art. In case you want to chill in the sun, I suggest going to one of my favorite places in the world, Santa Monica Pier. Yes, it’s usually crowded with tourists, but I am a sucker for the giant Ferris wheel.
City of Chill Angels
When you think of LA, you probably think of chilling on the beach and watching surfers ride those waves. Go to the Venice Beach and explore its long boardwalk which is always crowded with street performers. If you are a romantic at heart, make sure to visit the lovely El Matador Beach. It is famous for its hidden caves rocky shores and crystal clear waters. Los Angeles is an amazing city and the great thing is that the weather is always awesome here. It would take you at least a week to check out all the cool places in the city, but everyone who has even been here will tell you that it’s totally worth it.
My City In A Jar blog has but one purpose, to bring closer the profiles of various cities, the way I see them. It is like having a whole city in the palm of your hand. I want to show the beauty of the world as it can be beautiful and fill my readers in, on the most interesting sites and important facts about different cities in the world.
The world is a really big place, populated by billions of people who all live in different kinds of cities and towns. Since I am into traveling and real estates as I am a woman of finances, I saw an opportunity of bringing the two things together with a really great outcome.
Every time you tell yourself that you are going to travel to a new city, to a place you have never visited before, you know that you are entering a whole new world of excitement and wonder. At least, that is how it is for me. I like to think of all the possibilities because they are simply endless. I am into real estate and finance but, writing about city profiles really makes me whole.
I like giving my point of view of some city to the others simply because knowing that someone might visit it because of my blog, makes me feel happy. City in a jar was my way of expression about how I feel about a certain city, what I like about it and what would be the most interesting things to know about it.
Different city can spark a different emotion
It is always hard in the begging. You do not know your way around, where it is safe to go, which places are good to eat and have some fun, where to find the most interesting cultural sites and buildings. It is always best to act like you are on the mission. Decide what you want to make of your visitation and then, follow those steps.
That is how I do things and it turned out to be a really good way. Feel free to delve into the history of the city you are in, you can never know what you will find that might catch your interest. The most important thing is to connect with the locals. They are the best source of information that you can find.
Everybody in this world knows that Miami is the real hot spot in the world. It is the flashiest and the trendiest city on this planet. I just love to go there because of all that beauty around me, it is completely fascinating. From breathtaking landscapes and beaches down to the jaw dropping Miami luxury condos for sale. The rich and the famous make this city is completely mind-blowing. If you are visiting for the first time, go directly to South Beach and feast your eyes on the natural beauty. This city was truly blessed by amazingly nice weather and one of the most beautiful landscapes that you have ever seen in your life before.
But South Beach is not the main prize anymore. I have found out on one of my travels to this magnificent and very large city, that they have a new hot spot in town. If you go downtown to the north, you will find the new districts of Midtown, Design District and Wynwood. All three are home to the newly born fashionista movements. Also, West Avenue is very well known for its absolutely remarkable bay. It is perfect for watching sunsets or going down near the water to relax and have a few drinks with your friends.
Absorb the wonders
When paying some city a visit for the first time, it is very important to pay attention to tiny details because it is those details that will make the stay significantly better. You know how wise people always say, it is the little things that make the world great. Well, it is the same thing with paying some city a visit. Then, you need to know exactly what do you want to make of your visitation. If the night life is what you are looking for, I can only say this. Go to the mammoth Fontainebleau. There is a whole bunch of nightclubs there as well as restaurants. The Mid-Beach is close too so it will be a whole feast for your senses.
All this renaissance will tuck you in the warm embrace of this never sleeping city which shows its hospitality to anyone with a deep pocket. I, myself, am a woman of finances and I know that not everybody can afford to go to Miami. If money is not a problem, I suggest paying a visit to Soho Beach House or even better, to the Faena District Miami Beach because it is a simply breathtaking experience. Whether you want to visit Miami just for the beaches, dining delights or Wee-Hour wild parties, Miami will soon become one of your favorite destinations. I personally love going there because it feels like owning the world.
I just love paying a visit to the largest city in Vietnam. People think that is the last place on Earth they would visit but, they are greatly mistaken. It is one of the most impressive cities I have ever visited. It is the cities like Ho Chi Minh that lead me to decide to start running this blog. I just want to show the whole world all the wonders of this amazing place and introduce them to a culture that they do not know anything about. Vietnam was a place of great war, we all know the history but, it is not like that today.
This city always feels like it is alive. It has a pulse of its own and it fairly dictates the pace for the whole country. Since it is the metropolis, economic and cultural pace depends on it. Since Vietnam was a part of a French colony in the past, you can still see some of the architectural influences. It is quite charming to look at and everything here is a lot different than in the USA or Europe. Aside from the magnificent examples of sheer architectural mastery, you will be able to walk through the wide boulevards which are usually jammed with the traffic most of the time. That is why people here use bikes or simply walk.
Find the best ways to make the most out of it
It would be the wisest to get a cab that would take you through the city. But for the ultimate thrill, you need to travel around the city by motorbike. Currently, there are two ways to do this: 1) rent a motorbike from a trusted shop or 2)Take a tour with a guide on the back of the motorbike OR ride yourself on a high adrenaline tour. I want to come back to this topic at another time as it deserves its own post.
I would suggest incredibly beautiful structures like the War Remnants Museum where you can see a lot of things related to the Vietnam War but seen through their eyes. Also, one of my favorite destinations, when I’m there and trust me I love visiting this city, is Jade Emperor Pagoda. The beauty of this structure cannot be easily described in simple words, it can only be seen with your own eyes. The real challenge when you are here is when you get hungry.
They have a completely different diet from the rest of the world as Asian people are known for this. Now, do not let this discourage you because one visit to their Ben Thanh Market food market will assure you that you will find everything that you would find in your own local market. Put simply, this city is a whole new world and I strongly suggest to all enthusiasts to come and pay a visit. Their outstandingly beautiful rice fields and those little darn cute houseboats will put a smile on your face while you tour through the Mekong Delta. Ho Chi Minh is like a dream.
